Installation explores the 19-day time lag between the initial accident at Chernobyl on April 26 1986 and its public disclosure on May 14 1986 with a televised speech by President Mikhail Gorbachev.
Consists of twenty Pravda newspaper covers April 26-May 15 1986 (Duratrans) in a back-lit vitrine with a video (4K) of slow moving radioactive clouds above and a block monitor with Mikhail Gorbachev’s address to the Soviet people on the evening of May 14 1986.
